Curphey Place is the administrative hub of the Jamaica Legion, hosting events and serving as a meeting point for veterans and supporters. It symbolizes the Legion’s dedication to preserving the legacy of Jamaica’s military contributions.
Curphey Home
Founded in 1958 in the tranquil hills of Newport, Manchester, Curphey Home provides a sanctuary for veterans in need. Named after Colonel Sir Aldington George Curphey, the home spans 54 acres and offers nursing care, security, and a peaceful environment for Jamaica’s ex-servicemen. With dedicated staff, including a resident superintendent and nurses, the home ensures that veterans live with dignity and respect.

What is the Jamaica Legion?
The Jamaica Legion is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting ex-servicemen and women in Jamaica. Established in 1949, it provides welfare assistance, preserves the memory of veterans, and promotes their interests.
